A huge welcome to Ian McVae from NewsXpress Beechworth as our new President.

Congratulations Ian we are looking forward to a fabulous year ahead.

Dedicted to our community, Ian is also involved in the Beechworth CFA and Vice President of the Wooragee Tennis Club.

A big thank you to our ongoing committee members who will be staying on in variuos positions.

A sad farewell to Sue Humphris who has been our treasurer and is now retiring.

We would like to give a special thank you to our Light up Christmas sub group… consisting of Mark from Primma electrical and his team of electricians.

Grant Pritchard and his team from the Beechworth Correctional Centre.
And of course all our committee who get behind this every year and create an amazing light show for our community.

✨🎄 Calling All Volunteers – Let’s Light Up Beechworth! 🎄✨
It’s that time of year again when we come together to celebrate the spirit of Christmas and make our town shine. We’re getting ready to put up the Christmas lights and decorations along the main street, and we’d love your help!
We’re looking for volunteers who can spare a couple of hours to assist with the decorations. No special skills required – just a willingness to lend a hand and be part of something that brings joy to our whole community.
🌟 When: Wednesday 3rd December 2025
🌟 Where: 9.00am - Meet at the Kiosk near the Bakery
🌟 What to bring: Comfortable clothes (gloves are helpful) and plenty of festive cheer!
✨Let’s make Beechworth sparkle again this Christmas ✨
Note: Most tasks will simply involve walking decorations from the trailers to the shopfronts. Nothing heavy, and there’ll be plenty of helping hands to share the load. For the higher spots, we’ll have Elevated Work Platforms on hand to safely reach and install the decorations.
