We are seeking someone who is organised and detail-oriented to provide bookkeeping, payroll support and administration services to both our firm and a diverse range of client businesses.

Based primarily from our Ballarat office, this role also includes regular on-site support at client businesses across the region. An immediate start is preferred; however, we are willing to wait for the right candidate.

If you contract for a business, it's likely your income has already been submitted to the ATO. This is part of the Taxable payments annual report (TPAR), where businesses are required to provide details of all contractors they've engaged within the financial year.

Here's a list of services that this covers:
- Building and construction
- Courier
- Cleaning
- Information technology
- Road freight
- Security, investigation or surveillance

Typically, this data is provided by August 28th. This means if you've submitted your tax without including all your income as a contractor, it's likely to be flagged. It's not worth the risk and payments to the ATO commonly incur interest.⁣⁣⁣
