The Role

A young, motivated self-starter eager to contribute to this expansive operation. The role will have a focus on livestock. A strong background in sheep and cattle production is essential. Additionally, you’ll be actively working with other team members as well as independently, including general farm duties, fencing, water, and property maintenance. Your passion for agriculture and longevity in this role will be rewarded as you grow with the business, and your hard work and ideas will be recognised.

The Property

Gilgal comprises 3,605 hectares across three adjacent landholdings suited to grazing (mixed livestock) and dryland cropping, operated as one large aggregation. Significant investment in pastures and infrastructure development will be completed over the next few years. A focus on regenerative and low carbon farming systems to deliver positive social and environmental impacts, as well as leveraging technology, all integral to our approach.

The Ideal Candidate

· Experience with sheep and cattle operations, including pasture management.
· A passion for livestock and experience with low-stress handling techniques.
· Experience in fencing and maintenance.
· A willingness to engage with farm management technology.
· Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
· A keen interest in training and working with working dogs
· A passion for learning new skills and self-development

The Offer

Remuneration in line with skills and experience. Inclusive of accommodation, a stylish country cottage that will not disappoint (2-bedroom 1 bathroom). The property is located 5 minutes from Cootamundra that offers all the essential services.

Are we growing? Yes! Senior Analyst | Armidale NSW Australia.

The Senior Analyst will work to gain insight into industry developments and trends; understand individual business plans and reporting; and present quality product that helps drive improvement and growth.

The Senior Analyst will complete and deliver insightful, user-friendly analysis of agricultural investments, farm due diligence, and operational/production dynamics. This position will broadly support the Impact Ag team, including data collection, due diligence, strategy development, budgeting, financial management, and reporting to provide meaningful information for the whole team to progress towards its mission.

The purpose of this position is to support an innovative company in its mission to decarbonise and regenerate land-based assets, successfully deliver investors’ financial goals, and be a leader in at-scale agriculture.

Applicants preferably with operational experience and 5+ years analyst or similar experience are encouraged to enquire.

A fantastic opportunity for a current student or recent graduate to work with us.

This analyst position supports the Impact Ag team in industry and asset research, data collection, due diligence, strategy & market development, and budgeting, to provide meaningful information in a timely manner. They will work to gain insight and understanding of industry developments and trends; individual client operations and business plans. The Analyst will work with the team to drive improvement and growth.

Who this position would suit:

Qualifications: Ideally, this position would suit anyone studying an agricultural, science, business degree, or similar, commencing their 3rd or 4th year of university or having just graduated.

Hours: Depending on your university load, we are open to how many hours you work, there are approximately 15-25 hours a week available. Graduates would be full-time.

Start date: An immediate start is available or there is flexibility when university resumes in 2023.

Continuation: If you are still studying and enjoy the role and are an excellent fit for our team, the role could lead to a full-time position on completion of your degree.

The position is based in our Armidale office.

Armidale-based Impact Ags Bert Glover flew out of Australia this week headed to Montana on a six-month project to help Rupert Murdoch manage his 340,000 acre cattle ranches to develop carbon credits and test the use of seaweed to reduce methane from cow burps.
