🌸 WACKY WEDNESDAY #3: SPRING CLEAN EDITION! 🌸🧹

Spring has officially arrived… which means it’s time to open the windows, clear out the cupboards and start that Spring clean! ☀️🌷

But while you’re busy cleaning, you might also start noticing a few other things around the house… 👀😂

That tired outdoor area.
The kitchen you’ve been meaning to freshen up.
The flooring that has definitely seen better days.
Or those little renovations that have been sitting on the “one day” list for far too long. 🏡🔨

With the warmer weather on its way, now could be the perfect time to start thinking about getting your home ready for those beautiful summer BBQs, family get-togethers and long evenings outside. ☀️🍖🥂

🎧💜 FUN FACT FRIDAY #2! 💜🎧

This week’s Fun Fact is all about Nickie… and her “ears” 😂

If you spend enough time in the NJK office, eventually you’ll hear Nickie ask:

“Does anyone need me before I put my ears in?” 🎧

This is our official warning that Nickie is about to enter DO NOT DISTURB: WORK MODE 😂

Once the ears are in, she’s locked in, focused and ready to smash through her tasks for the day 💻👌🏻

And secretly… the rest of us benefit too, because when Nickie’s ears go in, Nickie goes quiet 🤣🙊

There is just one small problem…

If we DO need her, calling her name is absolutely useless 😅

So we’ve developed a highly sophisticated office communication system…

Waving our arms around 👋🏻, throwing things in her direction… or even spraying her with glasses cleaner until she notices us 🫣🤣

Desperate times call for desperate measures 😂

💜 WACKY WEDNESDAY #2: MEGS’ BIRTHDAY TAKEOVER! 🥳🎂

Wacky Wednesday has rolled around again… but this week we have an extra reason to get a little wacky because IT’S MEGS’ BIRTHDAY! 🎉💜

Now, despite what this photo may suggest, we can confirm the NJK office will NOT be spending the day in tutus, feather boas and oversized party glasses… 😂

There are loans to write, documents to chase, applications to submit and clients to look after, but surely we can squeeze in a quick cake break somewhere amongst all that! 🎂😏

Because sometimes…

Finance can wait… just long enough to eat a piece of cake! 😂🎂

Then it’s straight back to work, we promise! 🤣

🏡 REAL LIFE CLIENT RESULTS | NATH

On Friday, Nath received the keys to his brand-new home! 🔑🏡

And we thought this was the perfect way to kick off our new Real Life Client Results series. 💜

For those who haven’t met Nath, he’s Jo’s partner — so while you might not see him sitting behind a desk at NJK, we’re still claiming him as one of our own. 🤣

After watching the plans come together and the build take shape, Friday was finally the day Nath got to stand at the front door of his finished turnkey home with the keys in his hand.

The NJK team helped with the finance side of the journey, getting everything in place and guiding the process right through to settlement.

We love helping our clients reach these moments, and this one was just a little extra special being so close to home. 🥰

Congratulations Nath! We hope you absolutely love your new home and everything that comes with it. 💜🏡

💜 FUN FACT FRIDAY! 💜

We’re kicking off our very first Fun Fact Friday with Jo & Megs! 👯‍♀️

Fun Fact: Jo and Megs aren’t just workmates… they’re sisters!

Although, if you’ve ever met them, this probably isn’t much of a “fun fact” at all 😂 We regularly hear “you can’t half tell they are sisters!” and it’s not just the looks… even their voices are very similar! 😅

While Jo was off living her best life in Europe a few weeks ago ✈️🌍 Megs took the opportunity to move herself into Jo’s office and get nice and settled 😂

Jo returned from Europe to discover she had a new roomie… and perhaps a little PTSD after spending their childhood sharing a bedroom together 🤣

We’re happy to report they’ve survived the first few weeks… so far 👀😂

SUPERHERO EDITION 🦸‍♀️💜

Welcome to our very first Wacky Wednesday… because apparently being finance brokers, lending assistants and a property manager wasn’t enough, we’ve now added SUPERHEROES to the job description. 😂

Meet the women of NJK Finance & Coast & Co Property Management, protecting clients from confusing paperwork, tracking down missing documents, solving finance mysteries and tackling property management dramas… one day at a time. 💪😂

And because all six of us share the same office, it was only fair that Jess from Coast & Co joined the NJK girls for our first Wacky Wednesday! 💜

We thought it was time to have a little fun and show you a different side of the team, so keep an eye out each Wednesday… things may get a little weird around here. 🤣

📣 RBA RATE UPDATE – ON HOLD

After rate rises earlier this year, the Reserve Bank of Australia has today announced that the official cash rate will remain unchanged at 4.35%.

This marks the second consecutive meeting where the RBA has chosen to hold, giving borrowers another month without a further increase.

The RBA will continue to keep a close eye on inflation and economic conditions as it considers what comes next.

For now though… rates are staying put. 🙌💜

📱 When you’re an office full of 90’s kids… but your kids are somehow better with technology than you are. 🤯😂

On Friday we discovered that Lenny had worked out how to contact us through the NJK Finance website…

Not once…
Not twice…
Over 20 messages in 10 minutes! 🤣

Most of them were asking:
💬 “When is Mum coming home?”

And just when we thought we’d seen it all, he followed up with:

“You’re probably wondering how I’m actually texting you right now… it’s because I’m actually on Google. You can actually do this if you just search up NJK Finance.” 😂

Safe to say our website chat has officially been tested… and approved by our youngest quality assurance specialist. ✔️

Sometimes the biggest challenge in the office isn’t lenders, paperwork or deadlines…
It’s explaining to a 7-year-old that Mum really does finish work eventually! ❤️
