Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Scam Awareness Week information session last night. We loved seeing so many people take the time to learn more about how to spot the signs of a scam, ask questions and share experiences.

We’ve noticed a few fake Hume Bank accounts doing the rounds lately.
If you receive one:
STOP Don’t accept the request or engage with the account.
CHECK Make sure you're dealing with Hume Bank's official social media page.
PROTECT Report the fake account to Facebook and contact us directly if you're unsure.
Remember, if something doesn't look or feel right, take a moment to check before you respond.
If you think you may have shared personal or banking information with a scammer, contact Hume Bank immediately on 1300 004 863.

Stop before you act. Check the source yourself, using a number or link you've looked up, not the one they sent you. And if something's already happened, protect yourself: call us and report it to Scamwatch.

Save this. Send it to someone you love. A quick pause is often the only thing standing between a scammer and your money.
