Delivered by Survivors of Su***de & Friends / Winter Solstice, Winter Solstice was founded by Stuart and Annette Baker following the loss of their daughter Mary. Over the past 14 years, it has become an important opportunity for people to come together, share stories, remember loved ones and remind one another that no one has to face life's challenges alone.
This year's theme, A Gentle Look Back, To Look Forward, encourages us to reflect on where we've been, while looking ahead with hope and compassion.
As a community-owned bank, we're proud to support initiatives that strengthen connection and wellbeing across our region.
The event is free to attend and will also be streamed online, helping more people take part in this important conversation.

If you made or were expecting to receive an Osko or PayID payment during the outage period, your payment remains valid and will be processed. Some payments may take longer than usual to appear while we work through a backlog of transactions.
These payments are not lost and are being processed with the highest priority.

We’re seeing a rise in bank impersonation scams targeting our community.

If you receive a call claiming to be from Hume Bank and something feels off, hang up immediately and call 1300 004 863 or visit your local branch to confirm it’s really us.

Never share personal information over the phone unless you initiated the call.

On Wednesday, our team attended a Community Impact Tour hosted by Border Trust: Community Foundation Albury Wodonga Region.

The tour gave us the opportunity to see firsthand the incredible impact local organisations are making across our region through community support and local giving initiatives. It was a powerful reminder of how meaningful change happens when people, organisations and communities come together to support one another.

The team shared the important work they do supporting vulnerable community members through food relief, homelessness support and essential care services.

This inspiring initiative is strengthening food security and social connection by bringing people together through gardening and shared cultural experiences.

Country Hope Albury
We heard about the incredible support they provide to local families navigating childhood cancer diagnoses, helping create moments of connection, creativity and joy during difficult times.
