The Location Albany WA (7th Albany Region DVD and last) is the new title for the newest to be release DVD/BD late in 2017, formerly known as the Albany Region DVD. The Albany Region DVD1 was first released in 2003, it came about after many trips around the region with the kids, originally DVD1 was called Memories of Albany and it was a slideshow type of presentation without any actual video footag
e. With DVD1 video was introduced, quality was as good as it could be without any financial support. DVD3 was an incorporation of the best of the two plus new scenes. DVD4 was updated and improved (superseding previous versions). DVD5 was the beginning of Western Australia’s South Coast Series (superseding previous versions). Albany Region DVD6 was the last to be called the Albany Region and also superseding previous versions, vision filmed in HD, reverted back to DVD quality. The Albany Region DVDs were created for locals to use to show guests what to see, or send as gifts interstate or overseas to family and friends to share. It is expected that around 60 people would see it in its lifetime. Covering 300kms of our coastline, stretching from Walpole to the Stirling Range N.P., which included Mt Barker, Denmark and Albany. Albany has the main attractions in the previous presentation, they included Whale World, History of Albany buildings etc, and some bonuses, such as our Anzac Day presentation and Screensavers in a folder on the disc. DVD7 titled “Location”, will become a series of DVDs/Blurays with titles as Location Albany, Location Plantagenet, Location Cranbrook-Frankland etc But for now the first will be known as Location Albany. However it all depends on demand and interest from you. It is highly likely that there will too much for one project on one disc, this is why there will be a series. DVD7 to be released in sometime in November 2016, it’ll be filmed either in HD or 4K, initially it will be reduced to DVD quality for DVD, however it will also be possible to release a Blu-ray version, 4K would be something considered in the future, they don’t really have many 4K media players around as yet. The quality that comes from 4K footage, reverted down is still awesome. When DVD7 is released, it won’t actually be mass processed, for a while it will be replicated here and updated for a while (A work in progress as it evolves), if demand comes we could produce official pressed DVDs like when you get a DVD of the latest blockbuster movie. But while it can be updated it will retain a little version number on the disc itself. It is likely that the documentary style Albany Region DVD6 will stay available, as the new one will not have annoying voice-overs, and will have relaxing easy listening music and natural sounds, great for meditation. Now in 2021 with no continuation on the DVD, it lays in hibernation, waiting for someone to be interested in ordering it. But even with out work carrying out in movie form, photos continue, so now you'll see the off photo, of which any are available for purchase for any particular reason. Drone footage is to be incorporated and will not dominate. (ARN: 1016362)
