Today is National Police Legacy Day 💙

We stand with our police—not just today, but every day.

Their courage, dedication, and sacrifice keep our communities safe, and we honour the legacy of those who have served and fallen.

🌼 In support of the day and our own police origins, our SA & NT branches will have St Michael’s Daisy pins available to purchase for $5 until the end of June, with all relevant proceeds going to support SA & NT Police Legacy.

The pins are in the shape of a Michaelmas Daisy, the flower of St Michael, the patron saint of Police who protects those who have sworn to serve.

Pins can also be purchased online:

Remote Access Scams - what to look out for

Remote Access Scams involve a scammer coercing, tricking or by some other means, gaining access to your account or device (eg asking you to install software to remove a virus). Once in, they will often use a money mule to transfer your funds out and could potentially steal personal details from the device as well.

Some signs that your account may have been compromised could include missing funds, not being able to log in to your account or having someone you don't recognise set up as a payee.

Read these tips about what you should do next if you think you’ve become a victim of a Remote Access Scam:

📱 Turn off or disconnect the affected device

🏦 Contact your bank immediately

📞 Contact an IT professional to review your device

🔑 Change your log in details across all accounts

Taking a minute to stop and follow these steps could help save you from further financial loss.

Tax time scams - what to look out for ...

Tax Scams will often see scammers pretending to be from the ATO claiming that your tax return is ready or you are entitled to extra money.

They will then often try to direct you to a dodgy link in an email or SMS that could allow them to hack into your device.

Follow these steps to try to avoid falling victim to one of these scams:

🌐Check on the official ATO or MyGov website for any information regarding your tax return. DON’T trust anything you receive in a text.

🤔 If you’re unsure if something is legitimate, search online to see if someone else has experienced the same scam.

Taking a minute to stop and call the ATO can save you from further financial loss.

🌳Our team doing a tree-rific job at The Gums Landcare Group

🥬Last month, our team members attended The Gums Recreation Ground to use their paid volunteer hours.

🐝 The team helped out with various tasks and even had a bee hotel erected in our name!

A donation of $1,000 helped to buy the mulch and trees to be planted on the day and to further support this initiative which is run by local volunteers.

👏 A massive shout out to The Gums Landcare for all the amazing work they do and to our team members who helped out!
