“The purchase of your new home is one of the most important financial decisions you make and it should only be contemplated with the full knowledge of the building’s present condition.”

Citadel building inspection reports are designed in an easily understood format, filled out on site and then presented to you on completion. Most importantly, all written reports include an on-site consultation arranged at a time that is convenient to you.

This gives us the opportunity to walk through the property so that you can be shown all the findings of the report. We can then discuss the results to clarify any points of concern along with the repair options and their probable costs.

You have the confidence that all Citadel reports meet or better the Australian Standard AS 4349.1-1995. Our reports cover everything to do with the properties structure from major issues to minor faults. The roof space is checked for such things as water tightness, the frame, insulation etc. and floor spaces are checked if accessible.

Moisture readings are taken throughout the building revealing leaking pipes in walls and any salt damp affected areas are measured precisely through virtually any wall coverings including tiles.

Your needs and expectations are given particular emphasis and importantly every property is inspected on an individual basis. Consideration is given to older homes with sound, practical advice in restoring and maintaining them at their best.

A Citadel building inspector works exclusively for his client and his only duty is to you. The report that is produced is a thorough, honest and objective appraisal of the home’s present condition and no time limits are placed on your inspection.

It is a confidential document, but obviously the main purpose of the report is to use it anyway necessary to achieve the best possible result for you and the inspector can help in this process.

Bookings can usually be completed within 24 hours to accommodate the 48-hour cooling-off period but obviously the more notice given, the better. Individual arrangements can be made regarding the verbal and written reports for interstate buyers or if appointment times are inconvenient. Also, people considering buying larger properties or those with unique floor plans can arrange to have an individually compiled report printed for them.
