Effective as of today

Every March and September Pension rates are indexed inline with inflation and while last September there was no increase, due to the effects of COVID-19 on the economy, this September there will be an increase.

This will mean a single person on full pension will receive an additional $14.80 per fortnight. Members of a couple on full pension will receive an additional $10.50 each per fortnight.

Robin and Leslie came to us as they were in the process of closing down their business and did not know where to start with Centrelink.

We made the process easy for them, kept them informed the whole way through and fixed a processing error which Centrelink made along the way.

This was what they had to say about our effort.

Jenny recently came to us via her Financial Adviser. She had been mucked around by Centrelink multiple times saying that her husband was not eligible for the Age Pension.

She had been to the local office at least 3 times, and had still not got to the bottom of why her husbands pension had been cancelled.

Her level of frustration when she came to us was incredibly high, as to why she could not get what they were entitled to. They were also annoyed that her husband had to start paying full price again for his medication.

Within 3 days we were able to not only step in to resolve the issue, have her husbands pension re-instated. We have also managed to apply for reimbursement of the money which they have previously spent on medication.

These were her first words in an email to us.

We showed him the support that was available and also how decisions he was considering could impact her care.

We also arranged some financial support for him without him getting frustrated at Centrelink.
