Key figures investors should know right now:

▪️The volume of real estate transactions in Dubai in Q1 2026 reached AED 252 billion ($68.6 billion), a 31% increase year-on-year

▪️57,744 investment transactions totaling AED 173 billion ($47.1 billion) were completed during the quarter

▪️The value of foreign investment rose by 26%, reaching AED 148.35 billion ($40.4 billion)

▪️The number of new investors increased by 14%, exceeding 29,300 individuals

▪️Despite regional tensions, the number of incoming inquiries regarding property purchases rose by 11%, while inquiries from tenants surged by 40%

▪️Off-plan properties accounted for 76% of all transactions, reflecting strong investor confidence in the market’s future

Dubai authorities have unveiled «SME in a Box,» a new platform designed to make starting a business faster, easier, and more affordable for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)

💡 How does it work?

Typically, entrepreneurs have to separately find a bank, set up payment services, and negotiate with logistics companies, telecom operators, insurance providers, and other service vendors

Now, all of this can be done through a single platform!

SME in a Box brings together 18 partner companies – including banks, payment systems, logistics firms, and telecom operators. Entrepreneurs gain access to ready-made service packages and special terms via this unified service

This launch is part of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 strategy, which aims to double the size of the emirate’s economy and make Dubai one of the world’s top cities for business by 2033

Media reports emphasize that authorities want to avoid market overheating and maintain Abu Dhabi’s attractiveness for living and doing business, especially given its growing population and the influx of foreign specialists

Interestingly, the freeze applies not only to renewals of existing contracts but also to new leases for previously leased properties. In effect, authorities have temporarily removed the ability to sharply increase rents, even when a tenant changes
