Meeting with HRH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi
Our MP, Wees Abraham, recently had the honor of meeting with HRH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, for the second time. The meeting was part of a delegation led by the University of Michigan, a global leader in research and technology, aimed at fostering collaborations
that drive progress and innovation.
Wees Abraham highlighted the importance of bridging global innovation with the region’s unique needs to create sustainable, meaningful impact, focusing particularly on smart cities and improving the startup ecosystem. The discussions emphasized the immense potential of cross-sector collaboration, uniting the University of Michigan’s academic brilliance with RAK government leadership to address key opportunities in innovation and development.
This meeting reaffirmed RAK’s role as a hub for forward-thinking initiatives, showcasing how academic excellence and visionary leadership can converge to build a brighter future. By leveraging global expertise and aligning it with the region’s strategic priorities, the groundwork has been laid for transformative advancements for both the present and future generations.
