UAE technology company Tahaluf Al Emarat has partnered with Dell Technologies to develop AI-powered smart city and public safety solutions across the country.

The collaboration will combine Dell’s AI and edge computing capabilities with Tahaluf’s in-vehicle technology to help identify road issues, parking violations and public safety concerns faster.

The solutions aim to improve urban services, support quicker responses and make UAE cities safer and more efficient for residents and visitors.

Dubai’s World Islands will see a new AED4 billion ($1.09 billion) residential development by SAMANA Developers, featuring 840 branded residences, seven floating villas and two tree villas. The project will offer homes ranging from studios to four-bedroom apartments, with prices starting below AED2 million.

Planned amenities include beaches, swimming pools, a beach club, spas, gyms, co-working spaces and retail outlets. Regular yacht shuttle services connecting the islands to mainland Dubai are planned every 30 minutes. The project is the first development under SAMANA COLLECTA, the developer’s new premium real estate brand, and is designed to make island living suitable for year-round residents rather than holidaymakers alone.

The UAE has unveiled a half-scale model of the lander for its Emirates Mission to the Asteroid Belt, which is scheduled to launch in March 2028. The eight-year mission will explore seven asteroids between Mars and Jupiter, with the MBR Explorer conducting flybys of six asteroids before reaching 269 Justitia in 2036.

The mission will study the asteroid’s unusual reddish surface, which may contain water-related minerals and organic compounds that could offer insights into the early solar system. Designed and built by the UAE’s Technology Innovation Institute, the lander will operate autonomously and capture images during its journey and final descent. The mission is part of the UAE’s wider efforts to strengthen its space research capabilities and expand its domestic space sector.

A luxury yacht commissioned by football star Lionel Messi is currently under construction at Sunreef’s shipyard in Ras Al Khaimah. The 26.8-metre Ultima 88 will feature four guest suites, a master suite, an ocean lounge with direct access to the sea, a dedicated garage for personal watercraft and a spacious upper deck.

Dubai Parks & Resorts is set to open a new waterpark in the coming months, according to Dubai Holding Entertainment CEO Fernando Eiroa.

The new waterpark will add to the existing attractions at Dubai Parks & Resorts, which reopened on October 7 after a temporary closure for maintenance and upgrades.

The destination is also home to Motiongate, Legoland, Legoland Waterpark, Riverland and Real Madrid World.

It will also have a 12,000-square-foot waterfront terrace with lawn games, along with private spaces for events and celebrations. Visitors can take golf lessons from professionals or join regular leagues.
