Phala Ranch (Pty) Ltd.’s vision and mission are to establish a number of Wildlife Reserves/Ranches throughout South Africa that specialize in the breeding of disease free (FMD, TB, Brucellosis and Corridor Disease) Buffalo and Sable Antelope. These species were specifically chosen for their financial attributes.
Only the highest quality animals will be selected for the breeding.
We will determine quality through genetic diversity and parentage as well as physical attributes. This breeding program will culminate in a niche market among the Reserves but also forming part of the multi-billion-dollar Wildlife industry as a whole.
Breeding high quality animals ensures Investors of sound financial returns because these animals will be more sought after by potential purchasers. The larger Reserves will also cater for a much wider array of species e.g.
• Elephant,
• Lion,
• Rhino,
• Leopard,
• Giraffe,
• Zebra,
• Wildebeest,
• Impala,
• Roan Antelope,
• Hartebeest,
• Hippopotamus,
• Nyala,
• Eland etc.
South Africa is one very few countries world-wide where private ownership of Wildlife species is allowed. We are in a very fortunate position to be able to own and breed high quality Wildlife species and export a wide range of Wildlife products.
Due to high demand for high quality and disease-free animals the long-term outlook makes this a very stable and lucrative industry.

Our Game reserve is currently 5 000 hectares and our aim is to establish a bigger Wildlife conservation area and get investors involved to own the Conservation area or form part the area and have shareholding in the Conservation area, this will depend on the investor.
A detailed business plan, budgets, income streams as well as breeding plans are also available.
Intensive Buffalo, Sable antelope and Lion breeding projects also forms part of our vision and long-term goals.
Our aim is to become one of the biggest Buffalo breeders in the country which will put us in the position to give our clients bigger and better Buffalos as well as restock some of African countries as well as neighbouring Game Reserves where such big Buffalos have almost been wiped out because of inbreeding, poaching and poor management.
There are several investors from the UAE that already owns Wildlife areas in our country, please see the links below of their Game reserves.
I also recently had the privilege of visiting the Emir of Qatar’s Private Game Reserve and will share more details about his Reserve as well.
