🚇 Dubai Loop: Elon Musk and Dubai launch an underground transport revolution

At the World Government Summit 2025, the UAE and Elon Musk announced a joint project — Dubai Loop, a high-speed underground transport system connecting the city’s key districts.

📌 What is Dubai Loop?
🔹 A new partnership between Musk and the UAE that will allow fast and seamless travel across Dubai.
🔹 “It will be like a wormhole,” Musk explained, meaning passengers will instantly move from one part of the city to another.

🚴‍♂️ Road Closures in Dubai for L’Étape Dubai Cycling Race 2025 🚧

On Sunday, February 2, 2025, the L’Étape Dubai Cycling Race 2025 will take place in Dubai, leading to temporary road closures announced by the RTA (Roads and Transport Authority).

🚦 Starting from 6:30 AM, the following roads will be closed:
• Oud Metha Road
• Dubai-Al Ain Road
• Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Road
• Expo Road
• Lahbab Street

🚗 Alternative Routes:
The RTA advises motorists to use Ras Al Khor Road and Emirates Road as alternative routes and plan their trips in advance to avoid delays.

🏁 Race Details:
The cycling race will start at 6:30 AM from Dubai Design District and cover a 101 km route, finishing in Expo City.

Starting January 31, a dynamic pricing system will come into effect:

🚗 Weekdays:
• From 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM and from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM — 6 AED
• During off-peak hours — 4 AED

🌙 Night hours:
• From 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM, tolls will be free!

🗓 Sundays and public holidays:
• The toll fee will be 4 AED, with public holidays excluded from the charges.

✨ Salik rates during Ramadan:
• Peak hours: 6 AED from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays.
• Off-peak hours: 4 AED from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM the next day on weekdays.
• Free toll: from 2:00 PM to 7:00 AM from Monday to Saturday.

On Sundays (except for public holidays and major events):
• From 7:00 AM to 2:00 AM — 4 AED.
