The UAE Minister of Economy, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, announced a Schengen-style GCC tourist visa: the GCC Grand Tours visa.
“In a significant move aimed at simplifying travel logistics and fostering tourism, the Gulf Cooperation Council has given the green light to a unified tourist visa that will allow travellers to visit all six countries. The GCC Grand Tours, which we are working on and aiming to finish, will allow tourists to spend more than 30 days in the region,” he said.
The announcement signals a momentous leap forward in streamlining travel logistics and igniting tourism across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. The visa will offer hassle-free travel and tourism opportunities within the six countries.
