Building Confidence, Unlocking Investment

At IDBZ, we believe that a project only becomes bankable when it is viable, well-structured, and ready for investment.

Our participation in the recent Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Capacity Building Workshop reinforced this commitment. Through proper project preparation, we help build investor confidence and ensure that development initiatives can attract the funding they need to succeed.

IDBZ – Turning ideas into investable opportunities.

Sustainable futures are not built overnight. They are built street by street, community by community.

At IDBZ, our commitment to sustainable development means investing in the foundations: clean environments, resilient communities, climate-smart growth.

Small actions add up. Collective care creates lasting impact.

That’s how we build the Zimbabwe we want to see.

IDBZ at the Green Climate Fund Stakeholder Engagement Workshop

The Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe was pleased to participate in the GCF Stakeholder Engagement Workshop in Harare, convened by the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Wildlife as the GCF’s National Designated Authority.

The workshop brought together Government institutions, State-Owned Enterprises, development partners and the private sector to review Zimbabwe’s GCF project portfolio and pipeline, and to explore ways to strengthen access to climate finance.

As Zimbabwe accelerates climate action, IDBZ reaffirms its commitment to supporting the development of bankable climate projects, strengthening partnerships, and facilitating the mobilization of resources for sustainable infrastructure and private-sector development.

Building Infrastructure. Connecting Nations. Creating Prosperity.

Across Africa, the development narrative is increasingly shifting from isolated growth stories to a more holistic focus on the infrastructure, partnerships and investments that connect economies, unlock opportunities and create shared prosperity.

In his recent interview with Forbes Africa, the IDBZ Chief Executive Officer Willing Zvirevo, CA (Z) shares his vision for the future of the Infrastructure and Development Bank of Zimbabwe.

Mr. Zvirevo is focused on positioning the IDBZ as the preferred entry point for infrastructure investment in Zimbabwe by strengthening the Bank's balance sheet, expanding strategic partnerships, building a pipeline of diverse and implementation-ready projects and enhancing the institution's project origination and ex*****on capabilities.

His vision reflects IDBZ's commitment to mobilising capital for transformative infrastructure that promotes inclusive economic growth and sustainable development.
