That's fantastic because it means we're always striving to be better, more accountable, and take control of our destinies.
But here's the twist - sometimes, in our quest for responsibility, we unintentionally let SHAME sneak in. In an attempt to be honorable and take ownership we think
"Where was I inefficient?" This root thought starts the process of shame.
Accountability is necessary, but shame is actually counter productive. They might seem similar to the untrained eye but they yield incredibly different results.
Accountability is reflective and pushes us into problem-solving mode while shame is critical, and usually damages the creative spirit.
