Rampant vandalism and theft of water and sanitation infrastructure continue to compromise service delivery to our communities.
Water and sanitation facilities are installed at a huge cost to improve lives and support public health. Unfortunately, acts of vandalism and theft deny communities access to these essential services due to the actions of a few selfish individuals.
Protecting water and sanitation infrastructure is everyone’s responsibility. Be part of the solution by safeguarding public installations and reporting any suspicious activities in your area.
Together, we can protect vital infrastructure and ensure reliable service delivery for all.

Mulonga Scoops Top Honours at NWASCO Awards!
Mulonga Water Supply and Sanitation Company (MWSC) has been named the Best Performing Commercial Utility at the National Water Supply and Sanitation Council (NWASCO) Awards, held alongside the 2025 Sanitation Sector Report launch.

The Company also received recognition for Best Sanitation Service Coverage, and was awarded a prize of K50,000 worth of pipes to support continued infrastructure development and improved service delivery.

This year, as the Company commissions fully its flagship projects, Customers will see more and more service improvements.
Mulonga thanks its esteemed Customers for the support and understanding while we keep working to improve the services...bright days almost here.

WORLD TOILET DAY COMMEMORATION –
Theme: Sanitation in a Changing World

Mulonga Water Supply and Sanitation today joined the global community in commemorating World Toilet Day at Musenga School in Chingola. The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, His Worship the Mayor of Chingola, Mr. Johnson Kang’ombe, who highlighted that good sanitation and hygiene are key to preventing diseases such as cholera—especially during this critical season.

Speaking on behalf of Mulonga water, Director Finance, Mr Sila Siame, underscored that proper sanitation is not just a service, but a cornerstone of national development, public health, human dignity, and environmental protection. Significant progress has been made with Government support, including the construction of VIP toilets across Chililabombwe, Chingola, and Mufulira, as well as ongoing CDF-funded projects to build flushable toilets in schools. These facilities are designed to protect underground water from contamination and improve long-term community health.

The community was urged to refrain from practices that damage sanitation infrastructure, such as throwing foreign materials into sewer manholes. Poor solid waste disposal and encroachment on sewer lines remain major causes of blockages—leading to flooding, system failures, and increased health risks like cholera outbreaks.

Mulonga Water reaffirmed its commitment to working with all stakeholders to promote environmental protection and ensure wider access to safe, reliable sanitation. The Mayor also emphasized that access to clean and safe water is a fundamental human right, announcing plans to extend sanitation services even further, including the construction of toilets in all Chingola cemeteries.

Together, we can build healthier, cleaner, and more resilient communities.
