✅ NAPSA Contributions
Due within 10 days after month end.
Example: April salaries → contributions should be submitted by 10th May. If the 10th falls on a weekend/public holiday, the next working day applies.
⚠️ Late NAPSA submissions attract penalties
NAPSA applies cumulative penalties on late or unpaid contributions. Official guidance commonly references penalties starting at 10% cumulative, while the NPS Act also provides for penalties up to 20% cumulative on unpaid amounts.
✅ NHIMA Contributions
Employers are also expected to remit NHIMA deductions monthly together with accurate employee records to avoid compliance issues and possible claim problems for workers.
