How To Manage Your Money Better
Have you ever wondered why it’s easier for some people to make money than others?
Why do we have people that come across a lot of money, only to lose it all in a short period of time?
Why do so many people lament about being broke? How do the rich grow their money? Is it possible to be truly financially free?
If you’ve never wondered, you should start.
That is the first step if you want to move from the have-nots to the haves.
Money making and wealth creation have plenty to do with one’s attitude towards money. What are your views about money? How do you feel about poverty? There are people who embrace poverty like its their middle name.
Being highly educated or extremely intelligent doesn't make one financially literate. In fact in our society people who are careless spenders are often applauded as rich just because of their flamboyant lifestyles. They splash money around and everyone calls them the 'big buyers'. Then one day they wake up broke.
Yet another may struggle through their life and eventually end up a wealthy person. What makes the difference?
1. Vision. You need to be clear on what you ultimately want to achieve with your money. This will largely determine the decisions you make and the actions you take.
2. Focus. It goes without saying that if you want to achieve any goal your eyes must be fixated on it. Do not allow distractions to pull you to different agendas unless you are really not serious about your goal.
3. Discipline. We can sing all day long about managing and growing money but if you don't have the above two you won't be motivated. Even your budget will not add any value to anything you do because it's a planning tool which is meant to help you achieve your vision.
4. Make money work for you. Having money in the bank does not make you wealthy, it’s investment in income-generating assets that does. Investment is putting your money to use so it can grow.
I wish you all the success in the world as you make better decisions with your money.
