✨ Celebrating women who dare to dream, build, and lead.

This Women’s Month, we honour the inspiring entrepreneurs in our The Chemical Industries Education & Training Authority Entrepreneurship/Startup Business Support Programme who are turning their aspirations into action. By equipping 15 youth and 15 women over the age of 40 with business training and support, we are helping women strengthen their businesses, unlock economic opportunities, and create lasting impact for themselves, their families, and their communities.

The programme took these ladies from the idea stage into starting their own businesses, providing entrepreneurship training, technical perfume manufacturing training, and mentoring support. The Programme has been in full swing for 6 months, and these are the outputs delivered thus far:
✅All 30 participants have registered with CIPC
✅Bank accounts have been opened
✅Perfume manufacturing training completed
✅FISA exams completed
✅Group coaching in progress

For many women over 40, unemployment can mean limited opportunities to earn an income and achieve financial independence. Through our Skills Development Programme, implemented in partnership with CHIETA and the Cennergi Services, through the Tsitsikamma Community Fund Trust, we are equipping women entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and support needed to build sustainable businesses and create lasting economic opportunities for themselves and their communities.

Many emerging entrepreneurs in the cosmetic-manufacturing sector face barriers such as limited technical expertise and business skills, making it difficult to grow sustainable enterprises. Through a partnership between The Hope Factory, CHIETA, and Cennergi Services through the Amakhala Emoyeni Community Fund Trust, a targeted Skills Development initiative is helping entrepreneurs build the knowledge, confidence, and capabilities needed to succeed in a competitive industry. 💄✨

Meet Buhlebothando, an entrepreneur on our Youth Skills Development Programme who is turning her vision into reality through determination and hard work. ✨
Since joining the programme, she has purchased equipment for her events business, expanded into fragrances, opened a business bank account, and is actively trading while growing her brand. With ambitions to build a sustainable and thriving enterprise, she aims to create more opportunities, strengthen her business, and make a lasting impact.💛

Women entrepreneurs often have viable businesses but lack the business skills, technical knowledge, and support needed to grow and operate their enterprises effectively. The Hope Factory, in partnership with The Chemical Industries Education & Training Authority and Tsogo Sun International, addressed this challenge through the Small Business Support Programme, equipping 10 women entrepreneurs with business and technical skills. The programme also fostered collaboration, leading five participants to form a perfume resale co-operative that gained recognition and was selected by the Local Economic Development (LED) agency for an international Co-operative Ceremony.
