For once i will say,
It's soo heart breaking seeing how we fail to grow our music industry in Malawi internationally.
Like,when an artist from Malawi gets a show outside the country,he or she performs to fellow Malawians based in that particular country and not to Citizens of that country and the supporting artists are also,mostly upcoming artists from Malawi.Sadly we call that an international Gig💔
Meanwhile, when an artist from outside the country booked to perform in Malawi,they perform to the citizens of Malawi.and Malawians artists becomes supporting artists 😭
WHAT WE NEED TO DO.💁
Promoters or Organisers of the show should raise enough funds when booking our Musicians outside Malawi for promoting the show to general public and not only targeting Malawians in that said country.
These funds should be enough to book some of local artist making waves in that country to support our Malawians artists, this will help people in that country to come to the show in numbers and then exposing our own artist to them.
I know it's not easy but it's now or never!!!
