Here’s your monthly SASSA update! 📢

Plan ahead with the August 2026 grant payment schedule:
👵 Older Persons Grant: 4 August
♿ Disability Grant: 5 August
👶 Children’s Grants: 6 August

💡 Important update: A fourth payment date has been announced.

In a media statement released by SASSA on 28 July, it was announced that there will be a fourth payment date on Friday, 7 August 2026.

This date is specifically for grants that are under review. If you have not received your grant during the first three days of August’s payment run, don’t panic. Grants that are under review will be paid on 7 August.

⚠️ Important: Receiving your grant payment on Friday, 7 August, is not the final step. If your grant is under review, you must visit your nearest SASSA office during August to complete the review process. Failure to do so may result in your grant being suspended in accordance with the Social Assistance Act.

If you have been selected for a grant review, SASSA will send you an SMS notifying you.
