In 1975 the branch was established by the name of Phokwane Funeral Undertakers and followed by Mamelodi Funeral Undertakers in 1991. The entity was legally registered and incorporated on the 01st of March 2001 by the name of Phokwane Funeral Directors CC. All the branches are fully erected with all relevant facilities, machinery and equipments. Then the following branches were established as well
namely Jane Furse in 2006, Burgersfort in 2009 and Nchabeleng in 2011. challenge was the gap in the rural that the members identified, since one of the members grew up in the local community an most of the local people are running away from the rural areas and they forget about where they come from. Initially, the challenge was to choose and industry of focus, hence the idea of widening the scope of focus in as diverse an industry as possible. This was thought to be a fisherman concept of casting the net as widely. Intense marketing, networking and prospecting has however landed the close corporation in funeral activities which has now become the entity’s main business focus, while having that focus opportunities form other sectors of the economy are not ignored as the entity is led by ambitious black innovative individuals.
