SME Friday 🔶 | This Women's Month, we're proud to spotlight Thandiwe Shema, Director of Jalusi Tech, a Gauteng-based South African business consulting and technology services company driving innovation, growth, and business transformation.

With a background in marketing, Thandiwe was always rich in ideas and vision. Her first two ventures — producing food products from soy milk byproducts and later manufacturing PPE — didn’t succeed due to limited industry experience. But failure didn’t stop her. Determined that a third attempt would not fail for lack of knowledge, Thandiwe reinvented herself, teaching herself tech skills through sheer grit and perseverance.

That determination paid off. Today, Jalusi _ Tech is a fully fledged IT services company employing 20 people, delivering solutions across web development and hosting, digital tools for SMEs, data centre management, cyber security services, and bespoke enterprise software development.

For Thandiwe, the greatest reward of entrepreneurship is the long-term payoff — especially the moment when those who once doubted your vision finally acknowledge its value.

Celebrating Women, Wellness & Leading with Heart

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting our Women’s Day Spa & Wellness Event at Life Day Spa — a morning dedicated to reflection, connection, self-care and personal growth. 🌸

The experience was a beautiful reminder that leading with heart starts with taking care of ourselves. Through meaningful conversations, moments of reflection and a little well-deserved pampering, we created space to pause, recharge and celebrate the incredible women within our network.

At Business Partners Limited, we believe that empowering women goes beyond business — it’s about creating opportunities to grow, connect and thrive, both personally and professionally.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so special.

Happy Women's Month 💙

🔶| Women’s Month Spotlight: Rene Botha, Regional Investment Manager

This Women’s Month, we are proud to celebrate Rene Botha, Regional Investment Manager, whose leadership journey is rooted in authenticity, perseverance, and purpose.
René believes that true empowerment is not about fitting a particular mould, but about embracing who you are and striving to be the best version of yourself.

"I was never a traditional women's liberation advocate. For me, it has always been about being your authentic self and doing the very best job you can. As the saying goes, feminism is not about making women stronger. Women are already strong; it is about changing the way the world perceives that strength."

Drawing on her experience as a leader, René highlights a powerful lesson that has shaped her career:
"Confidence does not always come first. Often, confidence is built through action, experience, and perseverance."

She holds a BCom Honours in Financial Management degree. As a Regional Investment Manager, René leverages her financial management expertise to assess investment opportunities, support entrepreneurs in achieving sustainable growth, and contribute to the development of thriving businesses. Her ability to combine financial insight with relationship-building enables her to make informed decisions that create lasting value for both clients and the organisation.

She believes that women bring unique strengths, diverse perspectives, and creative thinking to the workplace, helping to shape innovative and sustainable solutions. For René, success is not about perfection, but about staying true to your purpose, remaining resilient through challenges, and building meaningful relationships founded on trust and collaboration.

René proudly describes herself as an OnedayOnly shopaholic. Born in Vereeniging, cycling, camping, and enjoying a good glass of wine while spending time outdoors are her favourite things to do over the weekend.

René's story reminds us that authenticity, determination, and strong relationships are key ingredients for leadership and success. By embracing who we are and supporting one another, we create opportunities for growth, innovation, and lasting impact.

Thank you, René, for continuing to inspire, lead, and make a difference every day.

🔶| Women’s Month Spotlight: Qiniso Mbatha, Senior Marketing Officer

This Women’s Month, we are proud to spotlight Qiniso Mbatha, Senior Marketing Officer, whose journey is a reminder of the importance of self-worth, personal growth, and creating a life filled with purpose and fulfilment.

Qiniso’s message to women is both thoughtful and empowering:
“You are responsible for your own happiness. Never place your happiness entirely in someone else's hands because that gives them the power to take it away. Invest in yourself. Pursue your passions, celebrate your achievements, nurture your well-being, and build a life that brings you peace and purpose.”

Qiniso holds a BCom Degree in Marketing and Economics as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management. Her academic foundation has equipped her with the strategic thinking and marketing expertise that continue to support her success in the industry.

Born and raised in Durban, Qiniso has always had a deep appreciation for creativity and self-expression. One of her greatest passions is music and singing, which she believes has the power to heal, uplift, and transform. No matter what kind of day she is having, the right song can instantly shift her mood and bring a renewed sense of energy and positivity. When the weekend arrives, Qiniso values spending quality time with the people who matter most. Whether she's creating special memories with family or exploring new restaurants with friends, she enjoys experiences that bring connection, joy, and balance to her life.

Qiniso’s story highlights the importance of investing in yourself and embracing the things that bring you happiness. By prioritising personal growth, celebrating our achievements, and staying true to who we are, we empower ourselves to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.

This Women’s Month, let’s celebrate women like Qiniso who inspire others to embrace their worth, pursue their passions, and create happiness from within.

🔶| Women’s Month Spotlight: Megan Dedekind, Area Manager

This Women’s Month, we are proud to spotlight Megan Dedekind, Area Manager, whose journey is a testament to the power of independence, self-belief, and continuous growth.

Megan's message to women is both empowering and inspiring:
"Your greatest power lies in your independence. Build yourself, invest in your growth, and trust in your ability to create the life and success you envision. You are capable of far more than you may sometimes believe. You are only limited by your own thinking. Stand firmly in your strength, back yourself, and never rely on others to define your worth or determine your path. When you believe in yourself fully, you unlock the freedom to lead, to innovate, and to achieve anything you set your mind to."

Megan holds a BCom in Investment Management from the University of Pretoria and a BCom Honours in Financial Planning from the University of Johannesburg. Through her strong financial and investment background, she plays a key role in supporting entrepreneurs, guiding business growth, and helping drive sustainable economic development within her region.

Born and raised in Pretoria's Moot area, Megan has proudly called Pretoria home her entire life. While her career path led her into finance, music has always held a special place in her heart. Megan almost pursued a career in music before choosing finance. She is an accomplished pianist, having passed her Grade 8 Piano Examination with distinction at just 17 years old. She has also sung in various choirs throughout her life and is currently a member of the Canendo Project Choir. If that wasn't impressive enough, Megan recently taught herself how to juggle, proving that it's never too late to learn something new!

Megan thrives in the outdoors and enjoys living an active lifestyle. Most weekends, she, her husband, and daughter can be found cycling, participating in parkruns, hiking, or tackling new adventures such as wall climbing. She also treasures spending quality time with family and friends.

Megan's story reminds us that success starts with believing in yourself. By investing in our personal growth, embracing our strengths, and remaining true to who we are, we create opportunities not only for ourselves but for those around us.

This Women's Month, let's celebrate the women who lead with confidence, embrace their independence, and inspire others to reach their full potential.
