Last Friday, the Finnivo team got together at the Country Club Johannesburg (CCJ) for our Quarterly Connect.

It was a great opportunity to step away from our desks, catch up on what’s happening across the business and celebrate the progress we’re making together.

We heard updates from each business unit — a great reminder of how every team plays an important role in our collective success and how much we can achieve together.

And of course, it wasn't all work! We also had plenty of laughs (and some healthy competition!) playing the Hot & Cold game. 🔥❄️

It's always good to get everyone together, share ideas, have a laugh and reconnect as a team.

A finance technology implementation doesn’t need everyone, all the time.

Different stages need different people.

IT may be needed to establish access and integration.

Finance needs to define reporting structures, templates and what the numbers ultimately need to look like.

Implementation specialists then need to take that understanding and build a solution that works.

As Alwyn Pretorius explains: “Think of an implementation as a sequence of different expertise rather than one continuous demand on the same group of people.”

It’s a challenge many finance teams face.
