🚨 Budget Speech 2026 – Key Tax Changes You Need to Know! 🇿🇦💼

Big updates announced by National Treasury – effective 1 March 2026 (VAT change from 1 April 2026). Here’s what this means for YOU:

✨ Tax-Free Investment Limit Increased
Annual contribution: R36 000 ➡️ R46 000
That’s an extra R10 000 per year growing completely tax-free!

💰 Retirement Fund Deduction Increased
Annual deduction: R350 000 ➡️ R430 000
More room to maximise your retirement savings and reduce taxable income.

📈 Capital Gains Tax (CGT) Changes
• Annual exclusion: R40 000 ➡️ R50 000
• CGT exclusion on death: R300 000 ➡️ R440 000
• Primary residence exclusion: R2 million ➡️ R3 million

🏢 Small Business & VAT Relief
• Turnover tax threshold: R1 million ➡️ R2.3 million
• Compulsory VAT registration: R1 million ➡️ R2.3 million (effective 1 April 2026)
