The Sandton SPCA hosted yet another successful mobile clinic day in Alexandra Township on the 22nd of March at the Inkanyezi Waldorf School where 240 dogs were vaccinated, dewormed and sprayed for fleas and ticks. Our generous and supportive volunteers also brought along and handed out enough collars and leads for every dog as well as food, toys, blankets, dog beds and treats to give to the owners. “The most important part of a day like today is making sure we interact with the owners and help them understand what proper pet care entails, it is so very heart-warming to see how many animal owners in Alexandra take time on a Saturday to come and visit us at this clinics ” says Sandton SPCA Education Officer Angie Jennett. Sandton SPCA Mobile Clinic days are only made possible by generous contributions by the public and our supporters, especially our volunteers who give so generously of their time and resources to make this happen and we would like to thank each and everyone who participated in making this day a success – we are looking to host another Mobile Clinic day in August 2014 – for more information on how you can contribute please contact [email protected]
