The ATO is changing its approach to collecting unpaid tax and super. The ATO is set to focus on businesses that refuse to engage with them, ignore SMS and letter reminders, and fail to set up a payment plan for unpaid GST, Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) withholding, or employee super. Not engaging with the ATO will lead to firmer actions such as Director Penalty Notices (DPNs) and garnishees.
What can you do? Seek assistance from a registered tax professional or directly from the ATO.

So, I have just spotted another scam getting around, which one of my clients fell for. This one is very simple, just trying to register an ABN by themselves, but instead of using a website which was .gov they used .com.au 😞
Something so simple, but it can happen to anyone, so please take care and watch for the scams and if you are unsure, then seek advise 😉
