Towards something bigger, something greater…

Does everyone receive a call?

A purpose in this lifetime…

Have you heard the call?

Have you listened?

Perhaps the most frustrating thing I’ve ever experienced is hearing the call, answering the call, yet still struggling to achieve its promise.

Because it does feel like a promise…

The promise of artistic satisfaction.
The promise of a successful career in the arts.
The promise of meaningful compensation for my time, talent and expertise.

Unfortunately, the call is not a promise, but an invitation.

An invitation to your own expansion, to your growth and evolution.

It is up to you how you respond to the call.

It is up to you what you make it mean.

I have chosen to live my life in answer to the call.

And what a life it is and continues to become…

You can be “good enough” and getting better at the same time.

Good enough depends on the context. Good enough for La Scala is different than good enough for regional theater.

To stand out you have to be better than “good enough.”

Your ego will correctly call your current SKILL as “not good enough” for FUTURE goals to sabotage you from becoming better now.

To get better you have to go public before you believe you’re “good enough.”

It’s scary but essential to “get better” in public and not in private.

You have a Voice. You deserve to be heard and the world deserves to hear you.

Your inner Artistpreneur KNOWS all this, while your inner Artist is mired in a desperate plea for validation.

It’s time to lead yourself into a new reality, where you believe in yourself enough to face the failure and disappointment REQUIRED to realize your dreams.

It’s my inner Artistpreneur that thinks an 8:30am masterclass today is a good idea, when I don’t usually teach before 11.

It’s my Artistpreneur that said, “YES” to teaching two big programs at once, so I didn’t have to wait to implement on the new program that just came through me.

It’s my Artistpreneur who believes I can show up on social media and SING for 365 days in a row.

Thank goodness for my Atyistpreneur. She pushes me to take the uncomfortable risks and actions that led to over 200K in sales as an artist online.

Without her, I wouldn’t be online at all…

All Artsts have an inner Artistpreneur. Unfortunately the Artist”s fear of failing looking foolish and being disappointed blocks your Artistpreneur’s creative ideas on the daily.
