Today is Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam, or Tết Trung Thu, one of my favorite celebrations. Originally rooted in agricultural traditions, it has evolved into a joyful occasion, especially for children, with lantern parades, lion dances, and of course, mooncakes.
Beyond being a time for family reunions and gratitude to ancestors and elders, it’s also an opportunity for business partners to express appreciation for each other’s support. The exchange of mooncakes symbolizes unity, prosperity, and shared success. Their round shape represents completeness, while the salted egg yolk inside evokes the full moon.
In a country growing so rapidly, this festival is a meaningful reminder to pause and thank those who support each other along the way.
This year, we want to express our gratitude to our business partners with a European touch, sharing a painting by Caspar David Friedrich, the German Romantic master, titled “Two Men Contemplating the Moon.”
Wishing all our partners, clients, and friends a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival, may this season bring you harmony, prosperity, and inspiration for the months ahead.
