Vietnam 2024: A Resilient Economy on the Rise

Vietnam’s macroeconomic performance in 2024 showcased resilience and adaptability amidst global uncertainties. With GDP growth reaching 7.09%, the nation outpaced many ASEAN economies, reaffirming its position as a regional growth leader. Infrastructure investments, including the revival of the North-South High-Speed Rail, highlighted Vietnam’s commitment to long-term economic competitiveness.

Political stability and strategic partnerships, such as strengthened ties with France, India, and Malaysia, bolstered Vietnam’s global economic integration. Meanwhile, innovation remained a cornerstone, as Vietnam climbed the global innovation index and attracted top tech firms, solidifying its role as a technology hub.

Despite challenges like Typhoon Yagi, the government’s effective policies minimized disruptions, underscoring Vietnam’s resilience. ABB remains optimistic about Vietnam’s economic trajectory, as structural reforms and strategic investments pave the way for sustained growth in the years to come.
