History of the Club
The BVI Investment Club started from humble beginnings 30 years ago by a group of British Virgin Islanders and Belongers who had a vision of meaningful participation in the economic future of the British Virgin Islands. We strongly believed that through our collective efforts we could achieve far greater things than any of us could individually. Through the collective efforts a

nd resources of its members during its 30-year life, BVI Investment Club has amassed assets valued at approximately US$100M. The Club was started with an initial membership investment of $1,000 from each of its 20 founding members. Approximately one year later, with a membership of 26 Virgin Islanders and Belongers and an investment of US$4,000 by each of the members, the Club embarked on its first venture. Today, 30 years later the Club’s investment portfolio spans such industries as tourism, telecommunications, water desalination, insurance and land development.

Nearly three decades ago, on September 26, 1992, a formal BVI Investment Club Installation dinner was held at Admiralty Estate, Joe’s Hill, Tortola and attended by the then Chief Minister, the late Hon. H. Lavity Stoutt and members of his Government. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary this year, the journey continues towards economic empowerment for our members.
