California did not disappoint! We trekked inland to visit Pinnacles, Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon National Parks followed by a coastal stay in Pacifica with a couple of day trips into the city to see The Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, and Alcatraz. Memories made!

Rare bird alert! 🚨 Yesterday, I had the good fortune to witness a pair of Western Cattle Egrets meandering around our neighbor’s pond. This was only the 2nd recorded sighting of this species in our county! For a bird nerd like myself, that’s kind of a big deal!

Mink sighting! This is the second time this mink has been spotted on our property. It was actively ruining a rabbit’s day when we interrupted it. The rabbit lived to tell the tale and the mink was more than a little annoyed that we scared off its lunch! 😝
