There are different reasons for life insurance. No one wants their family to suffer once they are gone. Most people use life insurance to at least cover funeral expenses, others want to make sure bills are paid so the family has a chance to grieve without a financial burden, and sometimes they just want to leave a nest egg behind. Here’s the letter I sent to get on Shark Tank. The producer had already chosen someone else, but I wasn’t ready to give up. So I wrote him a list of reasons why I deserved a shot. That email got me the seat and changed the course of my life. Seventeen years later, I’m so glad I pressed send. Just a reminder, sometimes the door won’t open until you knock louder.
