Do you have everything taken care of? Do you have Final Expense Coverage?

“When I pass away, the VA will take care of my burial.”

A Veteran told me this with belief in his eyes that his understanding the VA would take care of his family.

Yet, he did not know what the VA covered for a veteran when a veteran passes away.

This startled me, since I was new to helping veterans find peace of mind and financial protection.

Do all veterans have this assumption?

Turns out, a significant percentage of them do!

I discovered this through helping (insert number of veterans) more veterans over the last 4 years, and not only did it surprise me, it also made me want to do something to help, as I, too, am a combat Veteran.

Here are some cold hard facts that I started showing every veteran I met with:

1.For service-related deaths the VA will pay up to $2,000 toward burial expenses for deaths on or after September 11, 2001. If the Veteran is buried in a VA national cemetery, some or all of the cost of transporting the deceased may be reimbursed.

2. For non-service-related deaths the VA will pay up to $796 toward burial and funeral expenses for deaths on or after October 1, 2019 (if hospitalized by VA at time of death).

3. If not hospitalized by the VA at the time of death the VA will pay $300 toward burial and funeral expenses.

4. A $796 plot internment allowance is available to veterans that are not buried in a national cemetery.

For most veterans, their death will be non-service-related.

That means at most you can get is $1592, if hospitalized by the VA at the time of death.

For everyone else, the max you can get is only $1096.

That’s all.

The average cost of cremation is $2,500 and the average cost of a funeral is $12,000.
That’s a difference of $1,404 to $10,904 in cost that’s passed on to family members.

This is a BIG problem, and something I have aimed to alleviate and fix as best as possible by educating Veterans that there is a better, more cost effective way to protect their families from unnecessary costs, and that they can even give them something as a legacy when they pass on.

Let me sit down with you via Zoom and help find the right coverage for you at a price you can afford. I can help anyone, no matter what state you are in.

SPOILER: It doesn’t involve a huge amount of time, experience, or months of spinning your wheels or any previous knowledge!
