I had breakfast today with a brillant, kind woman. It was a pleasure meeting her. While chatting, she reminded me that the things I had planned to do, I had accomplished.

She was excited and complimentary as she knew from the start what I wanted to do and how I had planned it. I had only seen mild progress though in reality I had made tremendous strides.

I stepped back and begin to think and realize that she was in fact correct. I had made huge strides and accomplished what was planned.

I want to share two things from that lunch.

1. Make sure your circle includes people that are ahead of you and they will tell you the truth as well as cheer you on.

2. You need a plan for your dream. One that is detailed and has a start and a finish.

Of course this story applies to life but it is also true in business. when launching, pivoting or scaling, you need a plan for doing so. A business plan is your roadmap to success. Many folks have found the success they need by simply taking the time to plan for success.
