CCRG Cherokee Coalition for Responsible Growth

CCRG Cherokee Coalition for Responsible Growth Political Action Committee (PAC) We are not a special interest group. it shows he or she will beholden to those special interest groups not to the people.

The Cherokee Coalition for Responsible Growth (CCRG) is made up of individual county residents seeking to preserve the great quality of life we enjoy here. We support reasonable levels of growth and development that can be supported by roads, schools, and water. We don’t support the β€œanything goes” development that has consumed so much of our county in the past. Because the outcome of local electi

ons is vitally important for our future, we research all candidates running in local elections. Every candidate tells us what they want us to know about them in their campaign material; however we have found that many are less than honest in their campaign literature so we dig beneath the surface to get the facts. For instance some embellish their education accomplishments, career accomplishments and or military career accomplishments. For example; in 2010 Commissioner Derek Good claimed that he had been an Army Ranger and that he had three college degrees from three Universities. CCRG members did the research that proved none of his claims were truthful so we brought our findings to our local newspapers. We also look at their campaign contributors, if a candidate receives large sums of money from builders, developers, mortgage bankers, etc. We research candidates to ensure they are running for office to represent the best interests for all citizens, not to pursue their own hidden agenda or better their own financial status with the decisions they make.

I am sad to say that DIRTY POLITICS has returned to Cherokee County! Desperate measures like this from losing candidates is why good people think twice about serving their community. I would like to set the record straight because I believe we deserve better than this.

Former Woodstock Mayor Donnie Henriques aka HIGH-DENSITY DONNIE wants you to believe that he will act differently if elected county chairman, but the facts do not support his claim.

Under Henriques' leadership, the city sprawled out into rural areas of the county. They approved high-density developments that now surround more rural properties. He never once protected our rural areas. This is evident in the photo, the area shown in tan is in the city, the area's in color are just a few of the unincorporated areas that Woodstock has surrounded.

I am proud to receive such a wonderful endorsement from Cherokee County Commissioner, Benny Carter. Benny and I have a mutual passion for volunteering here in Cherokee County, so his endorsement means a lot to me. Thank you, Benny, for your encouragement and your thoughtful support.

The Cherokee Coalition for Responsible Growth (CCRG) is proud to endorse Brad Thomas, candidate for State House, District 21. We can count on Brad to work for changes to the state annexation laws that will create a fair process for Cherokee County residents. We need to stop the cities from rolling out their boundaries into our rural areas with their high-density developments!
