💙 POLK COUNTY RESIDENTS, PLEASE SHARE THIS RESOURCE!

Healthcare shouldn’t be out of reach simply because someone doesn’t have health insurance.

I wanted to share a wonderful local resource for individuals and families who may be struggling to access medical care.

We Care of Central Florida, Inc. helps connect eligible Polk County residents with specialty medical services, including physician care, diagnostic testing, and other healthcare resources.

As a local independent insurance broker, I understand that not everyone qualifies for affordable coverage, and sometimes people need help finding care outside of traditional insurance options.

Whether you need assistance yourself or know someone who does, please take a moment to learn about this organization and its eligibility requirements.

Sometimes helping someone means pointing them in the right direction, even when insurance isn’t the answer.

💙 Please share. You never know who might need this information.

❗️ ATTENTION POLK COUNTY MEDICARE ADVANTAGE MEMBERS! ❗️

📍 Lakeland • Winter Haven • Auburndale • Haines City • Lake Wales • Davenport

I’ve been seeing a lot of conversations about Medicare Advantage changes for 2027, and I want to make sure our local community understands what’s actually happening.

There is a difference between a hospital negotiating a new contract with an insurance company and a Medicare Advantage plan being discontinued altogether. Both situations can affect your healthcare, but they are not the same.

🏥 ADVENTHEALTH & UNITEDHEALTHCARE: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

AdventHealth has announced that its current agreement with UnitedHealthcare is scheduled to end December 31, 2026.

If both parties do not reach a new agreement, affected AdventHealth hospitals and providers could become out-of-network for certain UnitedHealthcare members beginning January 1, 2027.

This is particularly important for Polk County residents who receive care through AdventHealth Heart of Florida and AdventHealth Lake Wales.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND: This does NOT mean these providers are already out-of-network!

Contract renegotiations happen regularly throughout the healthcare industry. Sometimes agreements are reached before the deadline, and sometimes they are not.

Until an official agreement or termination is announced, members should continue monitoring the situation and verify their specific plan’s network.

💚 HUMANA MEDICARE ADVANTAGE MEMBERS, PAY ATTENTION TOO!

Several Humana Medicare Advantage plans offered in Polk County during 2026 are being discontinued for 2027.

That does NOT mean Humana is leaving Polk County entirely.

It means certain plans will no longer be offered, and members enrolled in those plans need to understand what happens to their coverage and what options are available.

If you received an Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) or a notice that your plan is ending, PLEASE do not ignore it!

📅 IMPORTANT MEDICARE ENROLLMENT DATES

🗓️ October 15 through December 7, 2026

Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP). Eligible beneficiaries can review and make changes to their Medicare Advantage or Part D coverage for January 1, 2027.

🗓️ January 1 through March 31, 2027

Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (OEP). Individuals already enrolled in Medicare Advantage generally have one opportunity to switch Medicare Advantage plans or return to Original Medicare, with the option to join a separate Part D plan.

Certain plan terminations may also qualify members for a Special Enrollment Period.

MY ADVICE AS A LOCAL INDEPENDENT MEDICARE BROKER:

Before making any changes, ask yourself:

✅ Will my primary care doctor still accept my plan?

✅ Are my specialists and preferred hospitals in-network?

✅ Are my prescriptions still covered, and have their costs changed?

✅ Have my copays, deductibles or out-of-pocket limits increased?

✅ Is my current plan even being offered in 2027?

And most importantly, DO NOT cancel or change your coverage based on rumors or social media posts. Verify the facts first!

💙 MEDICARE TIP OF THE WEEKEND
| FAITH, WISDOM & MAKING INFORMED DECISIONS

🙏 Faith over fear. Wisdom over confusion.

One thing I believe is that God gives us wisdom, but we also have a responsibility to use it.

“The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.”Proverbs 22:3

When it comes to Medicare, making an informed decision today can help prevent unexpected financial and healthcare challenges tomorrow.

📅 Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is October 15 – December 7.

As we prepare for 2027, I want to share a few things you should NOT do when reviewing your Medicare coverage.

❌ DON’T assume your current plan is still your best option.

Just because your plan worked well in 2026 doesn’t mean everything will remain the same in 2027. Benefits, costs, medications, and provider networks can change.

❌ DON’T let a commercial make your decision.

Those advertisements may sound wonderful, but not every benefit is available to everyone. What works for your neighbor may not work for you.

❌ DON’T focus only on the extra benefits.

Dental, vision, hearing, and other supplemental benefits may be helpful, but your doctors, prescriptions, medical needs, and overall healthcare costs deserve just as much attention.

❌ DON’T make decisions out of fear or pressure.

You should never feel rushed, intimidated, or pressured into changing your coverage. Take the time to ask questions and understand your options.

💙 HERE’S WHAT’S ON MY HEART.

I’ve seen how quickly life can change. An unexpected diagnosis, a hospital stay, or a medical emergency can leave families facing decisions they never imagined having to make.

That’s one reason I’m so passionate about helping people understand their insurance.

To me, this is about more than policies, premiums, and paperwork. It’s about helping families prepare, protecting their peace of mind, and treating people with the compassion and respect they deserve.

I believe faith and preparation can go hand in hand.

You can trust God with tomorrow while being responsible with the decisions you make today.

And please remember: The best Medicare plan isn’t necessarily the one with the most benefits. It’s the one that fits YOUR healthcare needs and circumstances.

Whether you’re my client or not, I want you to feel confident asking questions and understanding your coverage.

🙏 A little wisdom today can help you make a more informed decision for tomorrow.

LET’S TALK: Have you ever discovered that your Medicare coverage changed when you thought everything would stay the same?

Confidence begins when you stop worrying about what other people think of you and let go of the need to be understood by everyone. The most freeing thing you can ever do is just be yourself.

🔪😂 CHUCKY, PUT THE KNIFE DOWN! WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT LIFE INSURANCE!

When someone tells me, “I already have life insurance through my job.” 😭

that’s great… BUT WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU LEAVE THAT JOB?! 👀

Does your coverage follow you?

Is it enough to protect your family?

Do you know how much coverage you actually have?

Can you keep it if you retire or change employers?

Employer-provided life insurance is a great benefit, but it shouldn’t automatically be your ONLY plan!

As an independent insurance broker, I can help you explore life insurance options that aren’t tied to your employer.

😂No scary movies needed. Just a conversation about protecting the people you love!

🚨 SENIORS, ARE YOU TIRED OF YOUR PHONE RINGING ALL DAY ABOUT MEDICARE?

Does any of this sound familiar?

“YOU COULD QUALIFY FOR $1,000 IN EXTRA BENEFITS!”

“CALL NOW TO CLAIM YOUR MEDICARE GIVEBACK!”

“YOU MAY BE MISSING OUT ON BENEFITS YOU DESERVE!”

You see it on Facebook. You hear it on television. You get calls from numbers you don’t recognize.

And before you know it, you’re getting even MORE calls!

LET’S TALK ABOUT WHAT THOSE ADS AREN’T EXPLAINING.

Not everyone qualifies for the benefits advertised. Some benefits are only available through certain Medicare Advantage plans, in certain ZIP codes, and to people who meet specific eligibility requirements.

That $1,000 you heard about? It may refer to an annual allowance, a benefit with spending restrictions, or something entirely different. It does not automatically mean $1,000 in cash deposited into your bank account.

And here’s something else you need to know: Not every Medicare advertisement is a scam, but misleading marketing and Medicare scams are real.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE YOUR MEDICARE NUMBER TO A RANDOM CALLER JUST TO FIND OUT WHAT BENEFITS MAY BE AVAILABLE TO YOU.

I’m Sebrina, a local independent licensed insurance broker and owner of Insured by Sebrina.

I help seniors understand their Medicare options without the confusion, pressure, or exaggerated promises.

We can review your current coverage, doctors, prescriptions, out-of-pocket costs, and any additional benefits you may qualify for.

AND ABOUT THOSE NEVER-ENDING PHONE CALLS?

I can show you steps to reduce unwanted marketing calls, protect your personal information, and recognize the warning signs of Medicare scams.

I can’t promise every call will stop, but I can help you understand how to protect yourself.

YOU DESERVE ANSWERS, NOT ANOTHER SALES PITCH.

Before you call that number on the television or click another Facebook ad, speak with someone who will explain the details.
