The Federal Reserve announced today they're keeping rates steady at 4.25%-4.50%—the fifth consecutive hold. While the FED wont be dropping rates our silver lining is we did have two members rebut this restrictive approach during the FOMC meeting and vote for a .25% rate cut. We don't often see dissent in these meetings so we have a good chance rate cuts will be part of the FOMC discussion during the September meeting prior to their next decision.

Thankfully last few weeks have been great for pricing improvements for interest rates, but if you have any questions about mortgage rates or market movement you can contact me anytime 😊👍

Had the chance to host a first-time homebuyer course at the Pontiac Library, and it was a great experience. We talked through ways families can access banking tools to help reduce closing costs—even when liquid funds are limited.

One of the parts of this job I truly enjoy is being able to educate and empower people. This group brought great questions around credit, budgeting, and understanding the loan process—and I’m always grateful for the opportunity to help people feel more confident as they move toward homeownership.

Appreciate everyone who showed up and engaged. Community work like this matters—and I’m looking forward to doing more.

Stopped into Euro Brunch Coffee this weekend and had a great start to the day—blueberry crepes and a solid cup of coffee.

It’s always nice finding local spots that just get it right. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and want a low-key place to sit and enjoy something good.
