--Introduction--
For thousands of years, human beings have been fascinated by the art of tattooing their bodies. Tattoos have been symbols of anything from social status, to religious confirmation and even to simply enhance one's own physical beauty. We now have the ability to tattoo ANY ideas that may come to mind. And that is exactly where I come into play. Do you have a great tattoo design in m
ind but you don't know how to communicate it from your head onto your skin? I can help. My name is Katie and this is Owl Bones Tattoo Designs where anyone can commission me for personal tattoo designs.
--Artistic Ability--
For those who don't already know this, I've been an aspiring artist my entire life. I'm mostly self-taught but I have taken art classes in high school and even before that. I'm currently going to college where I'm a Fine Arts major. I do have my strengths and weaknesses. I'm not the best at shading and colouring, but my anatomy/proportions are very accurate. I'm also well rehearsed in many different styles. I can do just about any style from cartoons, to abstract, to realism.
--Purchasing Designs--
If you're interested in commissioning me all you have to do is tell me your idea, give me an approximation of the size (doesn't have to be actual measurements- you can simply say I want it to take up half my thigh or I want a small piece to fit on my wrist, etc.) and whether you want it coloured or in black & white. As far as the design goes, please be as specific as possible! (Unless of course you WANT me to do what I want with it, it doesn't matter to me) I say this only because communication is key. If you want something very specific the only way I'm going to know that is if you explain exactly what it is that you want. Also, please note that I will work with you as many times as necessary until you're 100% satisfied with your design BEFORE you buy it! If you don't like what I've initially made for you please please please let me know what needs to be fixed and what I can do to improve it for you.
--Pricing--
PRICES VARY. Prices depend on a few things: the time & effort it took me to make it, size, detail and whether it's coloured or not. Close friends do not get discounts and people I don't necessarily like do not get charged extra. I do NOT haggle, however. I can give you an estimate of the price before I'm finished with your designs but estimates are subject to change. I never ask for the money before my work is done (but if you prefer to do that I'll accept your payment, but that's entirely up to you). What I do when I'm finished is, I can either show you in person, or I can send you it via internet WITH a WATERMARK* on it so you know what you're about to purchase. Only after you tell me that you're happy with the design and you're willing to buy it will I ask you for payment.
--Payment--
Unfortunately I only accept cash as of now. I am working on getting a credit card + paypal though, so as soon as I get that done that will be my other form of payment. (and it's ONLY going to be paypal so make an account for yourself too!)
--Receiving your Paid Designs--
You can get your designs a few ways:
1.) Local customers can make arrangements with me to meet where I can give you the original art in person.
2.) Those who're doing business entirely through the computer can get a final piece sent to them through facebook, e-mail etc. where you can print it out yourself (or even just send it to your tattoo artist the exact same way!).
3.) I can mail it to you! But PLEASE NOTE this will cost $1 EXTRA.
--Refund Policy--
I DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS. If you've paid me and I've given you the final design our business is done until next time. Say you bought a design but decided not to get it? That's not my problem. Say you bought it and then you say you don't like it? I don't care. As I've already stated: if you don't like my first draft I will work with you as many times as necessary until you're happy with your design before you purchase. Afterward it's no longer my concern.
--Questions, Comments & Concerns--
If you have any further questions or simply want to tell me how I'm doing please feel free to post it on this wall. I will try to respond to everyone ASAP. You can also contact me through this e-mail: [email protected]
That's all I have to say for now....happy tattooing everyone! ❤
P.S. This info is all subject to change at any given time. Please make sure to check back occasionally (or at least before you ask about a design), thanks!
*watermark- A watermark is a somewhat opaque design/text added to a work of art so that others cannot steal or use said artwork. No one should have any trouble seeing their full design with a watermark on it. But don't worry! I won't make it too opaque so you can somehow work around it either. ;)
