Government transparency isnโt newโitโs in the Constitution! US National Archives
๐ Article I, Section 9, Clause 7 requires a โregular Statement and Accountโ of public funds.
Following that mandate, the first Account of Receipts & Expenditures was published by the U.S. Treasury in 1791.
๐ And a shout-out to U.S. Census Bureau for conducting the census every 10 yearsโthe other federal data collection required by the Constitution.
