Here's what's actually scary about another lease: where the money goes.

When you rent, your monthly payment covers your housing, but it doesn't build anything for you. When you own, a portion of each mortgage payment goes toward your loan balance, which means you're building equity over time.

So today I did a thing. My first marathon. While I didn’t win anything today, I managed to cross off a massive bucket list item. 17 miles doing well, then the wheels fell off. I was determined to finish mostly because I already had a finishers jacket, but also because I had people watching 😂. I did, however, gather the following:
- Nike Alphaflys sound like horses hooves
- You’re only doing well in a run until you aren’t
- 8 miles is a long way to walk so better off trotting home
- The journey is more than the destination
- Your mind is what makes you, or breaks you
- The tortoise always beats the hare
- Family support gets you through
