Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged & Disabled (PAAD)

The Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled (PAAD) program is a state-funded program that helps eligible seniors and individuals with disabilities save money on their prescription drug costs.

You may be eligible for PAAD if you meet the following requirements:

You are a New Jersey resident;
You are age 65 or older or between ages 18 and 64 and receiving Social Security Title II Disability benefits; and
Your income for 2023 is less than $42,142 if single or less than $49,209 if married.
The federal Medicare Plan and/or PAAD will pay any costs above the PAAD copayment of $5 for each covered generic drug or $7 for each covered brand name drug, including premiums.

Senior Freeze Property Tax Reimbursement Application Deadline is Two Weeks Away

Seniors, if you haven't applied for your 2022 property tax reimbursement you still have time. The deadline is October 31, 2023.

It’s not too late to apply for your 2022 Senior Freeze Property Tax Reimbursement.

The deadline for the Property Tax Reimbursement program known as Senior Freeze is October 31, 2023. Senior Freeze lets seniors “freeze” their property taxes at the amount when they apply and receive a reimbursement check in following years for the difference between the “frozen” year and what they pay each new tax year.

If you filed an application for Senior Freeze last year and were approved, you should receive a form, PTR-2, which the Division of Taxation sends through the mail to inform current program participants to verify their income. If you have not received your PTR-2 form, or you need an application to apply for Senior Freeze for the first time, 2022 Form PTR-1, please call the Legislative District 11 Senate office at (732) 695-3371 and the staff will assist you in obtaining the form.
