Kwong v. United States Form 843 Filing

Interested in filing for a refund of interest and penalties on tax returns that relate to the Kwong v. United States?

Form 843 filing - $10.00 per year requested. Each submission will include two Form 843s: one for interest and one for penalties for each year requested.

Years affected by this case are 2020-2023. If you wish to continue, I will need copies of each tax return in question (including business returns) and a list of payments made with their dates. I need all documentation by July 1, 2026 to meet the filing deadline of July 10, 2026

I can retrieve this information myself with a signed POA for a fee of $50 per year.

Hello everyone, Robert again.
Brief update on Shannon and the near term future.

Shannon is doing much better overall but still not where we'd like her to be. We are home and are focused on her medical recovery.

For us to be focused on that we have had an awesome colleague of Shannon who is going to assist likely with filing extensions for everyone that needs it and maybe closing out some filing if it's on its final steps. Her name is Sarah please be on the lookout for a phone call or email from her. That being said please understand that she operates her own business and has other work the same as Shannon. Her even being willing to do the extensions is a God send and is very, very much appreciated. She has Shannon's full trust and confidence.

The hope going forward is that Shannon will be 100% in hopefully a short amount of time and with moderation will be able to return to work. While we have had other tax preparers in previous years, Shannon was a one woman show this year. We understand this is the worst possible time for a medical event to take place in regards to our business and we are fully aware of the possible loss of clients because of it. We have been discussing potential plans to mitigate the risk to clients in the event something similar happens in the future.

Check your refund status 24 hours after you e-file or 4 weeks after you mail a paper return. Check in your account or use the refund tracker, IRS2Go or the refund hotline.

Hello everyone Robert here. I've reached out to clients i personally know of and could find contact information for.

Shannon unfortunately has been admitted to the hospital and we dont know what the length or extent of her stay is going to look like we're still waiting on answers. Hopefully this is resolved quickly and properly but I wanted to let everyone know. Given the time of year I and she would as well fully understand if you need to seek other help with your needs. I dont know how quickly I would be able to get your documents or information but I will try my very best. I truly hope I am just jumping the gun on this but wanted to be as transparent as we can be for our clients. Little food for thought, When I go to Walmart I can have a conversation with the cashier. By the time I leave the store that cashier may know a lot about me. In two days that cashier won't remember anything unless it stands out. As unforgettable as I may be, they just see too many people.

If I go into a mom and pop store, they'll remember me, they'll look out for me, treat me as a parent, a grandparent, someone in debt, someone with riches, they'll treat me as a person, a member of the community.

Why go to a tax professional or accountant who only sees an invoice or account?
