Since we were toddlers, grocery trips to H-E-B often meant getting to pick out a new book too! We’d choose our own, take it home, and that night it became our bedtime story. As we grew, those books were passed down and the tradition kept going.

Now look at us, still stopping at the book section!😂📚📖

Our parents have always taught us that reading isn’t just something you do for school. Readers become thinkers, dreamers, leaders, and entrepreneurs. That little home library started one grocery trip at a time, but our love of reading will last a lifetime!

📢Collecting has always been a YBR Kid favorite! Shemar has been collecting Pokémon cards for years, Aydon has built an awesome collection too, and now Benjamin and Eden are joining in on the fun with their own favorite sports and trading cards.

We had a great time at our first Collect Em’ on the Brazos Card Show in Waco! We traded, added to our collections, met some amazing collectors and vendors, and learned a lot along the way.

We can’t wait for the next one!🔥

After seven years of growth, transformation, and impact, I am sharing that my time as President & CEO of the Cen-Tex African American Chamber of Commerce is coming to a close as I begin an exciting new opportunity.

Looking back to 2019, we set out to make the Chamber a cornerstone of economic opportunity. Because of your support, we did exactly that. We’ve built lasting partnerships and launched programs that change lives. While my title is changing, my commitment to serving you remains exactly the same.

I am thrilled to announce my new role as Vice President of Lending with TFNB | Your Bank for Life. In this position, I’ll continue doing what I love, helping entrepreneurs and families access the financial resources they need to succeed and grow.

I encourage you to keep supporting the Chamber’s mission and investing in the work that makes a difference for those who need it most. Thank you for an incredible seven years. The best is yet to come!

The YBR Kids are headed back to Lemonpalooza for our 3rd year, and we can’t wait! 💛🍋

We’re excited to celebrate an amazing Lemonade Day 2026, reconnect with our entrepreneur friends, meet new young business owners, and cheer everyone on during the awards ceremony. 🏆

Whether we’re bringing home a trophy or simply celebrating how far we’ve come, we’re thankful for every lesson, every customer, and every opportunity to grow as young entrepreneurs.
