We’re excited to welcome Caleb Morton to the Southern Trust Mortgage team!

With a degree in finance and a background rooted in hospitality and customer service, Caleb brings a unique combination of financial knowledge, people skills and a genuine passion for helping others to his new role in mortgage lending.

After spending his college years working in the service industry, Caleb discovered just how much he enjoyed connecting with people, creating great experiences and being someone others could count on. That realization led him to mortgage lending, where he saw an opportunity to build a career that combines his passion for finance with his love of working with people.

Originally from Bunn, North Carolina, Caleb moved to Wilmington to attend UNCW, where he earned his degree in finance while working his way through school. Outside of the office, you can find him spending time with his fiancée, their Great Dane and tabby cat, cheering on his favorite football teams, hitting the gym, playing video games, or taking his Jeep out on the sand at Fort Fisher. 🚙🏈

After 23+ years with Southern Trust Mortgage, Amy Altenburg is stepping into a new role, Loan Officer! Amy has been with Southern Trust almost since we opened our doors, spending more than two decades helping grow and support our Maryland region. She’s worked side-by-side with our loan officers, helped countless loans make it to the closing table, solved more than a few problems along the way, and built lasting relationships with clients and partners throughout the years.

Now, Amy gets to take all of that knowledge and experience and put it to work for her own clients.

Her approach is the same one that has made her such an important part of Southern Trust for all these years: listen, answer the questions, make the complicated feel a little simpler, and take care of people.

After 23+ years behind the scenes helping others succeed, we’re incredibly excited to watch Amy step into this next chapter.
