Not sure potential homebuyers really understand the benefits of Amendment 3. if I have been thinking about buying a home, this would absolutely 100% be the time that I would engage hedging that this amendment will pass and that will give us significant reduction in property taxes that rolls over to a significant reduction in mortgage payment.

You’re essentially buying a cheaper house to the tune of Hundreds of dollars a month in payment.

This isn’t a political event. This is an education event to understand the benefits of it, and where the money is coming from, and how other areas will be receiving revenue shared. New homeowners after the amendment passes will have a waiting period at this point likely 5 years before they would be eligible for the reduction on the Homestead property so if you know anybody on the fence, please educate them on this opportunity

Also for those of us in the “youth of our senior years” that will have a paid off home soon or sooner than later and potentially living on fixed income….The reduction in tax payments could give that extra bit of dignity of doing some things that you want in your retirement years as a result of reduced property taxes.
