"Tell Us Again Why You Advocated So Hard for Bail Reform?"

Dear ACLU...

As violent offenders continue to be released recklessly in our communities with ZERO Accountability, what do you have to say now? Your voice was loud and clear in support of bail reform in New Jersey for years...and still is.

As you celebrate New Jerseys sweeping criminal justice reform, offender after offender are released with nothing but a "pinky promise" and a bus ticket.

Is this what you had in mind?

Legislators, judges, senators, and yes YOU claimed this law would balance the injustice of commercial bail, yet the law is blind to common sense...releasing without reason violent offenders back in our community with ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY.

You claimed this law would help the "indigent" stuck in jail over bails $2,500 or less, yet the jails are overflowing with just that. Municipal level offenders watch and wait as they sit in jail over a non-payment of fine, while an alleged child predator walks out before he's had a chance to even settle in for the night.

Your agenda always sounds so poetic...and your "Battle Cry" so inspiring. Too bad for New Jersey they fell for it.
