Regardless of your religious affiliation, the TOOELE connection in this story of 2 octogenarians teaming up to go serve the people in a foreign land together is just AWESOME! 💙

Eighty-one-year-olds Virginia Hawkins Bryant and Kathleen Moessing will be companions in the Micronesia Guam Mission, continuing a friendship that began when they were toddlers.

While at the Honey Harvest Festival in Grantsville, UT, I met a new friend who genuinely gave me a much needed laugh. Her name is Elaine and she just moved from the East Coast to Colorado. I asked if I could share her hat demonstration on social media. I think I need one now. 😜

Hey everyone! It’s a busy day of giving back to the local community for The Insurance Mechanic with TWO major events TODAY!

This morning is Day 2 of writing thank you letters to Veterans for their service and sacrifice at the Honey Harvest Festival at the Historic Clarke Farm in Grantsville, UT. The rain isn’t projected until later this afternoon so come early while the sun still shines!

This evening starting at 4 is the 15th Annual Kickin' Cancer's Can Fundraiser with TONS of ways to raise money directly for our neighbor families battling cancer. There is no other event like it that truly brings the community together! I’m helping with the Karaoke portion of the fun. ****Note - due to expected weather, this has been MOVED to Overlake Elementary school (near Parkers Park)****

Please join us today and visit me at one or both of these events for great causes!

By all accounts, the first day of the Honey Harvest Festival Grantsville, Utah was a great success! Dozens of cards collected today and still more to come tomorrow!

So far from the 3 events I’ve done this Fall, we’ve collected over 250 Thank You cards from booth visitors who want to thank a veteran. By , these Thank You cards will be distributed to veterans here at home and across the globe who do not hear those two words nearly often enough.

Thank you to everyone who has made an effort to remind our military how much they are appreciated.
